   Culture

The Culture section, created in the State of Nuevo Leon in Mexico, started work as a communication and divulgement vehicle for the several cultural events that take place in the region. With projects contemplated in the areas of tangible and non-tangible Heritage Preservation, the goal of the Culture section for the year 2005 is to involve all 52 municipalities of the State of Nuevo León.

This Culture section seeks to research and rescue oral tradition, as well as document traditional festivals and historical buildings; to document digitally pictorial and photographic work from the official trove; to bring to light the work of praiseworthy artistic talents of the state; and last but not least, to ensure the participation of the Northern Committee in a bi-national project within the framework of international cooperation. The Culture section research, photographic, and literary documentation base will range from migration to trade between both countries. Starting off from a small city on the Canadian border, the route will traverse southward to reach Mexico City, passing through municipalities of the state of Nuevo Leon and other states of the region.
